How we see children

Children learn by doing, and we plan for that. Our goal is to create a pleasant, nurturing, and learning environment for our children and their families. We are a Keystone 3-Star rated, state-licensed center. We care for children from 6 weeks to 13 years of age.

Rooms are set up for the children who use them. Infant space keeps cribs and floor mats low and soft, with toys within reach. Toddler and preschool rooms have low shelves, open floor for building, and a table for messy work. The day keeps a steady shape: play and learning in small groups, meals together, rest, and time outdoors.

A visitor notices teachers down at the children's eye level. You hear talk going on all day, and children answering. We also keep our promise to families: care for school-age children before and after school, with staff supervising in-house activities and homework, and flexible options so we can extend care on an as-needed basis when space is available. Ask the Childcare Director or Office Manager for the paperwork.

What a day looks like

Mornings start early here, with the doors open from 6:30 AM Monday through Friday. A young child comes in, puts a bag in a cubby, and gets a greeting from a teacher who knows their name. Some children go straight to a favorite toy; others sit close to a teacher until they wake up. Breakfast and the first free-play time help everyone settle.

The middle of the day moves between play and small-group learning. Children build, paint, read, and sing with a teacher nearby. Meals are eaten together, then rest time comes with lights low. Outdoor time gets worked in daily, and for our school-age children, our Summer Day Camp Program runs Monday through Friday, ages 5 through 13, with age-appropriate activities and off-site field trips planned.

The afternoon slows down. Children wake from rest, have a snack, and choose quiet play or table activities. As the day ends, a parent hears what actually happened: what was built, what was tried, what was eaten. Staff are there to hand off a coat, a drawing, and one small piece of news from the day.

How we work with families

At pickup, a parent hears small, specific things: the tower that finally stood up, the new word, who ate well. Teachers make time for questions, and if something needs a longer conversation, one is set up rather than rushed at the door.

A new child does not start the whole day at once. We begin with shorter visits and build toward the full schedule as your child settles. You tell us the nap and meal times your child knows, and we follow them.

How to join

  1. 01

    Get in touch

You complete the enrollment paperwork. Then we plan a first week that suits your child's routine, starting with shorter visits if that helps.

Good questions to ask first

What are the hours?

6:30 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.

What ages do you take?

Children from 6 weeks to 13 years.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes, a tour is how most families decide. Bring your child along so they can see the room and meet the teachers who would care for them.

What should my child bring on the first day?

Families usually pack a change of clothes, diapers or pull-ups if needed, and a comfort item for rest time. Label everything with your child's name. The center will tell you what else to bring.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?

Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email and ask what is available for the days you need.

What if there is no place right now?

If no place is open for your child's age, ask to be told when one comes up. We follow the list by age group and let families know.
